Russel Levert

Chief Financial Officer

Russel began his career working as Financial Controller and then Investment Associate for a venture capital fund in South Africa. Upon immigrating to Australia in 2000, he joined Tech2Home as the company’s Financial Controller and was promoted to Chief Financial Officer. In 2016, Russel became an integral part of the Seertech team as the company’s Chief Financial Officer. From the outset, he’s worked to establish the solid financial, compliance, and reporting foundations necessary for the company to continually grow in a measured and managed way.

There were many reasons behind Russel’s decision to join Seertech. “I was looking for an opportunity that would allow me to not only draw on my experience and natural strengths, but also work with a senior management team who is focused on building an exceptional global business,” he says.

Russel also wanted to be part of what he describes as an “Australian IT success story.” “I saw Seertech as a way to demonstrate to the IT and start-up community that an Australian company can take on the world’s largest software vendors and succeed.”

In regards to his favourite thing about working at Seertech, Russel shares that it’s the fact that “every day delivers new and different challenges that allow me to expand my skills in a range of areas.” The people at Seertech are yet another reason why he loves his job. “Everyone is pulling in the same direction,” he says. “Seertech just has a good bunch of people working on an amazing product.”

Work isn’t the only thing Russel is passionate about, however. He’s on the Advisory Board of Our Big Kitchen, a community-run, industrial kitchen which prepares and distributes meals to disadvantaged people across Sydney. Come summertime, he can be found enjoying his free time at the beach. Russel’s nights are focused on family time. When time permits, he tries his best to sneak in a few hours of Fortnite.
